The old saying "A Picture's Worth a Thousand Words" is so true, especially in the case of Adele and Matthew. This is one happy couple - Matt is charming, stylish and witty, and Adele's huge hazel eyes shine with life and laughter. They wanted a wedding that was a celebration of not only their love, but of friends and family as well, and this was a sophisticated, elegant affair. The guys got ready at the Valhalla (yes, I could have filled a whole blog with shots of the guys rocking the camera, being all GQ and Forbes in their purple waistcoats) and the girls, naturally, at Adele's family home. Adele's dress was so stunning, with shirred bodice and mermaid style, with just the right amount of bling to catch the light. I won't even mention the funky purple shoes!!! The ceremony was at St. Pat's, and for some reason, these shots just seemed to speak to me in black and white. The candid, photojournalistic element really appealed to me here, and Alan captured some behind the scenes shots that give the day a wonderful, unscripted feel.

Off to Lakehead University, and the woodlands behind the campus! Both Adele and Matt are avid fishermen (women? people?), so naturally, the rods came with, and while the girls captured the sunlight streaming through the trees, the guys got their feet wet in the McIntyre River. It is a beautiful spot, with craggy overgrowth and splashing rocks, perfect for this outdoorsy couple.

And on to the DaVinci and the rockingest party in weeks! Silk and Cedar did the decorating (props to April) and Mirella from Safeway (she's one of the best florists in Thunder Bay) provided the breathtaking flowers. I just loved the emotion in each of these images, from Adele beaming as she and Matt enter the hall, to Adele's dad proud as punch in the father/daughter dance. The wedding party got into the groove as Ti Amo (and Mirella!) cranked the tunes and one of my fave shots is the one where Matt is getting ready for the garter - total Matt style!

Congratulations, Adele and Matt, on the spirited elegance of your wedding day. You are perfect for each other, and your wedding has made your friends and family so proud. We wish you all the best in the future! Alan and Heather

  We are so incredibly pleased with the creativity and beautifulness (not sure if that is a word:)) that you have shown through these amazing pictures. Alan, you have truly outdone yourself and we are so appreciative of all the work and effort you have done for myself and Matt. There was never a question of who we would have as a photographer to help us capture all the beauty of our wedding day!
