One really cool thing we offer our couples is our personalized Wedding Signature Book. It's a small 7x7 hardcover book that is filled with images from the couple's engagement session. A perfect example of this was the engagement/wedding of Aimee and Mike, two true blue nature lovers. Their engagement session last year was one of my faves, as they went somewhere totally unique and special to them - out Grand Point Rd toward Brule Bay. They love to go walking there in all weather, and loved some of the older buildings/locations in that area. Then a nice long walk back to Chippewa to play in some of the cabins on site. Take a look at some of these wonderful shots:

The Wedding Signature Book takes the 12 of the best images from the engagement session and lays them alongside alternating blank pages for guests to sign on the wedding day. I do something unique to every page - sometimes a filter, sometimes a quote, sometimes mulitples - whatever the shot inspires in me (by the way, I LOVE MY JOB!!!) Here are some pages from the book:

Finally, this August, the wedding day and totally true to form, this couple had everything out of doors! The Nor'Wester is the perfect venue for an outdoor celebration, and both guys and gals got ready there at the hotel. It made for a very relaxed and happy morning, and the sun smiled down on them for the entire day. Both Aimee and Mike love to walk the trails at the Tree Farm, and Alan had a ball with them, finding so many funky, earthy spots for photos. The wedding party were real troopers - the guys were game to do anything, including climb a tree! In fact, there was climbing all around, as Alan was up, down, under and over every form of tree, rock, bridge and hill, bringing his energy and creative eye to a variety of scenes. (Good thing he's in shape!) And Aimee and Mike were fearless, adventurous and totally into rocking the Tree Farm. Their shots range from warm and romantic to eerie and Twilight-esque. (I kept expecting a werewolf to slink past the camera!) The day ended at the Nor-Wester as well, and of course, a shot of the Wedding Signature Book, complete with a lovely poem by one of the guests.

Aimee and Mike, it was a pleasure to share the last year and your wedding adventure with you, from Brule Bay to the Bay of Thunder. Keep on exploring this wonderful part of the world, and knowing you both, your kids will follow in your footsteps. Hiking boots, anyone?
