And Baby Makes Three!

When you do what we do for 30 years, you develop relationships with clients that last for many years. For example, we initially photographed Adam and Krystine for their engagement in 2007 and then again for their wedding in October 2008, so we were overjoyed when they called us to let us know that there was now a new addition to their family. Little Carter arrived two weeks ago, and boy, does he have personality! From smiles to scowls, from screams to crocodile tears, Adam and Krystine wanted to capture some of that personality before he begins to mellow out. For this blog, I wanted to include both sides of this little guy's personality - tender and tough, because you can't look at a grumbling baby face and not smile! Both Adam and Krystine wanted to be a part of Carter's first photo shoot, and this is a new and welcome trend. A newborn shoot is not just 'a mom thing', and to have dad taking an active role in the first event in his son or daughter's life is a beautiful thing. To add even more personality, Adam is a firefighter, so he brought his gear for some amazing lifestyle shots. It brought back memories of the days when Alan shot the Thunder Bay Firefighter's Charity Ball and the posters and calendars that they produced back in 'the day.' Take a look at some of these awesome shots:

Congratulations go out to Adam and Krystine and a hearty welcome to little Carter. He's going to set the world on fire some day with the spark of his personality, and thankfully, mom and dad will be there to put it out!

Hi Alan;
I want to thank you so much for taking these wonderful pictures of my Grandson, Adam and Krystine. I have shown them already to so many people. You captured such real images that they brought tears to my eyes as well as others that have seen them. They will be treasured for our lifetime and beyond.
