Christie&Mike-Romance Rules!
Romance has always been the cornerstone for weddings, but with Christie and Mike's wedding, it was Romance with a capital R! Alan has known Christie's parents for a long time and had photographed Mike's brother's wedding a few years ago, so when Mike and Christie announced their engagement, we were excited to be able to shoot their wedding. This is one classy, photogenic couple, and the weather that day was as sunny as their smiles! They are both teachers and met four years ago while taking an Education course, and it was love at first sight! Alan started the day at Mike's house, with a rousing toast to the last remaining hours of bachelorhood, then off to Christie's, where once again, the shots in the home were just stunning! (Nothing beats natural window light for timeless beauty.)
St. Anthony's is a church with classic good looks. The light wood and modern styling seem to capture the sunlight and give every shot a fresh, natural look. The girls' flowers and dresses were purple, (the colour of royalty!) and the little bit of bling on the dresses set the colours off beautifully.
PACI was Christie and Mike's first choice of venue for the post ceremony shooting, again as it echoes the classic, romantic feel of a by-gone era. Also, since they are both teachers, they thought it would be fun to shoot at what is the most beautiful school in the city! Then it was off to Boulevard Lake for another dose of Romance - the water, the copper scupture, the green, green grass. This couple is so in sync - they look like they are moving in time with each other, like a dance, and Christie's veil just captured the breeze like a melody. Beautiful...
The DaVinci has rarely looked better all dressed in white and purple, and again, with just that little bit of bling to set everything off. And the reception was full of joy and laughter. The dancing shots are pure energy!
Christie and Mike, you are a classy couple. Thank you again for giving us the honour of chronicling your wedding day. This is just the start of your lifetime of Romance!
