In our studio, we have the honour of chronicling through photographs the major events of people's lives - weddings, pregnancies, anniversaries, graduations, families, even birthdays (with the new popularity of Diva Parties!), but one of the most incredible events in anyone's life is the birth of a baby. And when that birth is the birth of twins, it just makes things all the more wonderful. We recently had the pleasure of photographing James Stephen and Thomas Henry, twin boys born October 4 to proud parents Jim and Joanne. These are their first children, and they were both thrilled (if a little surprised) when they found out Joanne was carrying twins! Both James and Thomas are named after members of their families - Thomas being the name of Joanne's grandpa and Henry being the name of Jim's grandpa. James Stephen shares his name with his proud daddy (as well as many grandpas on both sides!) and his complete namesake, James Stephen, is the name of Jim's great-great grandfather from Scotland! Thomas is the little one, weighing in at 4lbs, 12 oz, and you can see how he just fits into the palm of Jim's hand. Joanne had ideas of what she wanted us to capture, and we were excited to partner with her in this, as it was the perfect opportunity to create some shots that Alan had in his mind. The boys cooperated (to the best of their abilities!) and we were able to create some very tender and other rather humorous shots. Congratulations to Jim and Joanne on the birth of your twin sons. We know you will enjoy every moment with them - they are beautiful and full of life - a wonderful addition to your growing clan!
