Finally, on to a blog I've been wanting to do for months- Shoes! Every year as wedding season rolls to a close, we get to see some of the trends that have evolved over the year, and this year, I would have to say it was the Year of Shoes!! Almost without exception, each bride had chosen for herself an amazing pair of footwear, and some were even imported from overseas! Alan loves shooting these details, as it combines a commercial element with a strong fashion sense, and he loves to shoot fashion. Each pair of shoes tells a story, from Jen's with a penny tucked inside, to Susan and Ashley's cowboy boots, the shoes are as much a part of the day as the dress, as they reflect a hidden element of the bride's personality. From Amanda's Asian-inspired flats to Blanca's stilettos (she's five foot nothing!), the shoes not only complement the dress, but as I said before, hint at the secret whimsical heart of the bride herself. And just as a few years ago showed the trend of bridesmaids' dresses being different, this year we saw bridesmaids' shoes being different! Gotta love it! Props to the girls who take time to choose their shoes! Now if only we had the closet space!
