Well, the new year has started and so have the Diva Parties! We are jam-packed with Parties in February, but last week kicked off 2011 in great style with Kayla and the Gang. Kayla just turned 9 and wanted to do something different for her birthday this year. Diva parties are a great way to do just that! Kayla's mom, Joanne, brought pizza and cake, the girls brought pressies and Kayla brought the tunes, and they danced until they finally flopped on the floor in exhaustion! The white room is Thunder Bay's largest, and the acoustics are really great for music - it's perfect for dancing and hamming it up for the camera. Our waiting room is perfect for these types of parties, as it is basically a great big living room, and the mirrors are a girl's dream-come-true. Kayla felt completely at home as she opened her presents, and the girls even embarked on a spontaneous tissue paper fight! They ate pizza and snacks while watching the images of themselves on our 50 inch plasma screen, and they laughed their heads off all over again. One thing that made our jaws drop was the cake Joanne brought, made especially for Kayla by Jennifer Harkof-Cook, owner and designer of Jenn's Fun Cakes. It was truly one of the most memorable cakes we've ever seen, and if it tasted as good as it looked, then it would be a treat for all senses.  All the girls went home with their own 5x7, a shot they have personally chosen as their favourite, and Kayla takes home an 8x10 combo with a shot of the group AND one of herself. She also gets a Facebook DVD with all the images of the party for her to e-share with her friends! It's really a great way for a parent to throw a fun party, and best of all, when it's all done, WE do all the cleaning! Take a look at some of these fun shots:
