Olympic Spirit

We've been shooting Pat and Laura Szturm's Christmas photos since their wedding in 1997 and it's been fun seeing the kids arrive, grow and change. Every year, they come up with something original - one year using the white room as an ice rink for dressing as hockey and figure skaters, another year coming as Mr. & Mrs. Claus and two elves and one reindog, and people eagerly await what they are going to think of next. This year it was a stroke of genius to think of the Olympic Spirit, as Canada is hosting the Winter Games in 3 months, and Alan gets energized from their willingness to take chances, have fun and just play. They are a busy family, with Pat at Investors Group, Laura a nurse, and both Erin and Tyler actively involved in extra-curricular sports, so daytime sessions are a rarity but Alan is more than willing to work in the evenings to accommodate their schedules. Take a look at a few of the shots they came up with:
Props to Pat and Laura, Erin and Tyler (and don't forget Jake!) for being such good 'sports' in this Olympic season. Go Team Canada!

Hey Pat & Laura,that was a fun shoot we had last night. I am always excited with the ideas you have and the energy that goes into every family session. The creative juices were flowing and the end results look great. I know your family & friends will treasure these original portraits for a long time. Thanks for letting me capture a little piece of your family history.

auntie laura,uncle pat.cousins tyler and erin....you have once again created a lifetime memory. i look forward to adding this xmas photo to the other precious ones on my piano.luv auntie kath
